As the name suggests, a fund supermarket is an outlet that let's you buy (and sell) a wide range of funds at low cost. They are a recent arrival in the UK, having been established in the US for several years now, and bring extra benefits in addition to choice and value for money.

3. Do we manage funds on your behalf?

7. Can I view my portfolio valuation online?
Yes, your portfolio valuation is available online 24 hours a day 7 days a week. You will need your security log in details to access the service. You will be issued these following your first purchase through our site. If you have lost or forgotten any of your security log in details please contact us via email quoting your date of birth and postcode.
8. Can you advise me which funds I should buy?
As a fund supermarket, our job is to handle your fund transactions at low cost. Therefore, we are unable to provide advice as to your financial situation. We do however provide research facilities and information to help you make your decision.
9. Will I receive correspondence directly from the fund management groups?
No, as part of the supermarket process all of your investments are handled through our nominee account. This means that your fund correspondence comes from one source, us, greatly reducing your paperwork!
10. Does buying my funds through a nominee account affect the investments in any way?
Generally, no, because you are buying units in exactly the same fund as you would were to you to go directly to the fund management group. The main difference is that you receive correspondence from us rather than the fund management groups directly.
11. Can I switch the funds that I hold?
Yes, you may switch from one fund holding to another as you wish. You simply need to sell the desired number of units in the fund you wish to switch and use the proceeds to buy units in the fund you wish to switch to.
